COURTSIDE FITNESS
Telling a gym’s story visually through it’s space.
Courtside Fitness is a performance-focused gym next to Warwick Basketball Stadium. The link to basketball was a story worth telling: a gym that supports athletic development, movement and personal growth, not just general fitness.

Brand visual identity → visual storytelling
THE CHALLENGE
Gyms look alike. Courtside’s story needed to show.
Courtside is located alongside a basketball stadium, with a strong connection to basketball and a focus on performance. The identity needed to reflect that connection while still working for people who use the gym for everyday training. The result was a visual system that connected the brand to the physical space and the way people use it.
THE SPARK
Movement shapes performance
The shape became the starting point for the visual language, grounding the rebrand in authenticity and movement. We explored bold, dynamic colours and geometric patterns inspired by court markings and ball textures, drawing from the visual energy of major athletic brands like Nike and Adidas while developing a look specific to Courtside.
These elements came together around movement, rhythm, energy and progress, creating a visual system that reflected Courtside’s performance-focused approach.
THE OUTCOME
When the visual language becomes a physical, interactive experience.
Most gyms go quiet once winter sets in, but Courtside visual storytelling did the opposite: people filling the gym. The manager says membership grew throughout winter, which is rare in the fitness world, and it hasn't slowed since. The team expects the rebrand to pay for itself.
The new look works because it shows up everywhere. The mural on the outside wall makes people stop and look, bringing in curious passers-by and giving members something to be proud of. Step inside and the same colours and style carry through the space. Scroll through the socials or spot the logo anywhere else, and it looks the same. The visual language translates across every touchpoint, physical and digital, creating an engaging environment.
